Treaty is a prenatal vitamin brand aimed at soon-to-be mothers who seek to give their future child the nourishment that they need within the womb. The vitamins are rich black in color. This can be seen as unappealing to the public, so in order to make them more desirable we decided to market them as “black pearls” that are as special as the child that is soon to be born.
However, Treaty wasn’t always a prenatal vitamin brand. This initially started as a skincare brand aimed to destigmatize and treat various skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and many more. The messaging and colors are meant to be colorful and welcoming.
I was brought in as a conceptual designer to help research and design different ways that the brand could look.
Packaging
I was asked to design three different versions of packages for their eczema ointments. I found this project very enjoyable as I was able to flex my 3D modeling skills. Everything here is designed and modeled by me.
Programs Used
2D programs: Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
3D Programs: Blender & Adobe Dimension
Social Posts
The social posts for this brand were designed so that they would be able to stand out on their own and also look good within the grid of Instagram. The colors are a mix of warm and cool to signify the cooling effects of some of the products while also representing the warm tones of skin within the subjects of the photos. I used Adobe XD for the composition of the posts so that I could easily see each board to make each design mesh together.

Treaty Prenatal Vitamins | Conceptual Designs
In the middle of the project, our client decided to pivot from the original idea and create an entirely new idea. For this brand, we were tasked with making prenatal vitamins that the customer can customize to their unique individual needs. Our challenge was creating a way to make black vitamins appealing to pregnant women. Our team came up with the idea of marketing the vitamins are little black pearls that are as unique as the child inside of the pregnant mother.
Some of the designs I had come up with were inspired by topographical maps of the ocean floor created by scientists. I set the pattern on top of black sand that I had created in Blender and paired the background with nautical looking serif type to go with the ocean theme.
